Kiwanis History
The roots of Kiwanis International go back to 1915. This global community of clubs, members, and partners are dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. Today, we stand with more than 600,000 members from K-Kids, to Key Club, to Kiwanis, in more than 80 countries. Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children. Kiwanis clubs host nearly 150,000 service projects each year.
Kiwanis Foundation funds such programs as:
- Fighting Homelessness
- Special-Able Dances
- Stuff the Bus
- Thanksgiving Feasts
- Holiday Gift Giving
- Volunteer Programs at Christ Home and Valley Youth House
- Girls Empowered
- Homers for Hope
- Children and Youth Services
- Bucks County Opportunity Council
- Summer Camp Scholarships
- High School Mentorship & Leadership Programs
Without volunteers and the support of local business leaders, we would not be able to assist these children and communities!
